The Blog Directory
Hand coded with PHP, HTML and CSS Blog Directory 001 allows bloggers to submit their blog for inclusion in the index much like Best of the Web or Blogged.
Registration requires users to have a valid email account where a confirmation message is sent. Users can then add as many of their blogs to the site as they desire.
Blog Directory 001 uses the latest web technology to give the website an extra design sheen in the newest browsers - although it will also look fantastic in older browsers such as Internet Exlporer 6 and 7
The Charity
Eastside Community Heritage are one of the foremost community historical associations in the UK. Having established themselves in 1993 they have been involved in a range of projects in East London, including the current Lottery-financed Working Lives of the Thames Gateway.
The site was redesigned in the summer of 2008. The blocks of colour were kept from the old site design, but every other aspect, including code and structure, was redrawn from scratch.
The site had to be accessible to all and which included special features for those with site problems and those with limited use of the keyboard.
Notice as well that the website fits comfortably in all screen resolutions (including 800 X 600), and is built for cross-browser compatibility (including Internet Explorer 6)
The used car site
Car Trader Mail is intended as a point of contact for second-hand car salesman. Due to a direct result of government financial assistant to assist Britain's car manufacturers, the cost of used cars has increased over the last couple of years.
The idea behind the business is to introduce the automobile seller to the buyer.
This site needed to be fast to load (1.9 seconds despite a massive background image) and easy to navigate and use.
The delicate use of JavaScript creates the feel of user interaction when links are clicked.
The Accountant
This site for Certax Accountants needed to be business like but friendly. It uses the popular JavaScript library jQuery to add subtle motion to key parts including the menu, mission statement and picture.
The site has also been the subject of SEO keyword optimisation.
